Jon was born in northwestern Montana the son of an architect/ builder and artist. This background has influenced his work for over fifty years. His architectural experience has ranged from the design and documentation of a wide variety of single and multi-family housing projects – both affordable and market rate – to the planning and design of recreation buildings, arts centers, hotels and commercial centers. Jon has been a long time member of the Healdsburg Community, served as a planning commissioner for over a decade and is known as a thoughtful designer, articulate spokesperson for great civic design, and a patient listener in helping to resolve many of the town’s lifestyle vs growth issues.
In addition to architecture, Jon has been a fourth grade class teacher at the San Francisco Waldorf School, a visiting critic at the University of California at Berkeley and leads an annual Bay Area architecture field trip for 12th graders from the Summerfield Waldorf High School.
Jon is a licensed Architect in the state of California, and received his Bachelors of Architecture from Kansas State University. Other studies include work at Arizona State University.
